Every church has their set of rules..right? At my church I..
1. Not allowed to have candles (so what the heck am I going to do for the untiy part?
2. Not allowed to have bare shoulders (Too bad I already purchased my dress before I knew this rule) - LOL
3. Have to pay $500 (Oh no..we have been member and tithe paying members at that, for over 20 years!
Anyway...I learned to get around these rules. Here are some exampled of how I am going to still be able to keep the unity tradition, and not have to have one of those church ladies running up to me and my bridesmaids with a cover up! LOL
Sand Ceremony instead of candles??
HAWT bolero for me?? The Bride???
Purple Chiffon Wraps..for the Bridesmaids???
PERFECT! Church Rules Problem's are SOLVED!
I am excited about all that is getting done! I have just 2 months left! Whewww!
Remember my blue birdcage cardholder? Well..take a look below.
Yayy!! It's white! When I purchased it, it was blue.Because I loved it, I just had to buy it. I knew it could easily be painted. I had originally added that to my fiance's list of things to do. He took it to work and had it professionally painted. It's a beautiful pearl white! I love it. I added a little sign. Cuuute!
I purchased a bracelet from a knottie and it arrived on a little pillow. So cute! She did an amazing job!
My cake topper has arrived from Crafty Eddy. Now, it just needs to be blinged out! I purchased the rhinstones from ebay (below). Can't wait to see the final result :).
My cake lady had a fire and will not be able to make my cake. I am sad that this happened to her. Fires are TERRIBLE! I am also very disappointed because she is the bomb at what she does! (no punt intended). My guest will miss out on the amazing taste that all of her clients rave about.
I am being a whiney brat about this because I really wanted her as my cake vendor. Now I have to use my back up cake plan. BOOO!!!! But I hope everything is okay with her and her home. Prayers and vibes are being sent her way.
The END.
I had my make-up trial the other day. We had to rush through it because I had a wedding to attend. She used an airbrush machine for the foundation and shimmer for the cheeks. What we realized afterwards is that we need to use some type of pigment finish, get me some lashes and spice up my lips. We also decided that for the ceremony I will use more gold tones and for the reception change to purple. My mom and I aren't really satisfied with the turnout so I sshceduled another trial with her so that we can spend more time getting the professional bridal look that I want.
So here are pics of trial #1.Trial # 2 will be next week and I can't wait!
Before - not so hot..lol
after..hot!
Cute!
Paragraph.
Throughout my planning process, I always knew that the ceremony decor at the church wasn't high on my list of priorities. I guess my belief is that if you are on a budget, than the ceremony decor should be minimal. I care about the reception decor since this is where most of the time will be spent! However, my stepmom has really been down my back about the church looking beautiful :) Her and my dad were married just about 10 years ago, at the exact same church. I had never seen the church decorated as beautiful as it was. She just wants to recreate the same vision for me. I can appreciate that :) I have been researching and googling different ideas. I have posted a few.
Gladious flowers are very pretty! They are simple, elgant and VERY affordable. Below are glass cylinders with candles and flower petals. Very romantic. Check out
www.fiftyflowers.com for bulk flowers and petals. I plan to purchase 12,000 rose petals for $199.99.
Yes folks, that's right! I only have 87 days to go. Right now I am in beauty mode. How am I going to wear my hair? Up? Down? A mixture of both? Do I add extensions? Or wear my own hair? DO I want my hair to stay black? Or do I want to add a little color for drama? It's so many ways to choose from! I have selected a few styles that I really like. Help a sista decide?
